The municipality of Alpedrete has joined the Sideral Plan of the Community of Madrid by implementing eAgora, a digital platform designed to centralize services, improve communication, and make administration more agile and accessible. The tool allows residents to have the Town Hall on their mobile device, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The mayor, Juan Rodríguez, accompanied by the CMO of eAgora, Rafael Cadavieco, explained that this platform will enable residents to carry out procedures from their mobile phones, eliminating the need to travel to the town hall for any matter.
Promoted by the General Directorate of Digital Strategy of the Community of Madrid, the development of eAgora will be progressive. Initially, residents will be able to download proof of residence, purchase tickets for cultural events, reserve sports courts, or report public space incidents directly.
Rafael Cadavieco noted that, as many services in Alpedrete are outsourced (such as waste collection, street cleaning, sports center and pool management, park and garden maintenance, or public lighting), incidents will be sent directly to the service companies. This, according to the mayor, «reduces the workload of the Town Hall, there will be no filters».
In this first phase, eAgora will include essential services such as the incident reporting system, event calendar, official announcements, and a municipal mailbox for inquiries and suggestions. The platform will continue to grow with new functionalities, such as the collection of bulky items.
Municipal sources highlighted that the goal is to «improve residents' experience in their relationship with the Town Hall», reducing travel, avoiding queues, and speeding up service. Technology aims to optimize internal management to dedicate more resources to citizen attention.
eAgora has already been implemented in neighboring municipalities such as Galapagar, Los Molinos, Moralzarzal, Hoyo de Manzanare, Guadarrama, and Valdemorillo. The most requested services are incident reporting, ticket sales, and sports court reservations. According to Rafael Cadavieco, the platform has an adoption rate of 40% of the population over 16 years old in the municipalities where it has been deployed.
