The initiative, promoted by Famma-Cocemfe Madrid, aims to facilitate the reporting of obstacles that hinder mobility and foster citizen participation in defending the rights of people with disabilities. The platform enhances the work of the Office for Accessibility and Technical Aid Complaints (ODAT).
Through an intuitive digital process, users can attach photographs, indicate the exact location of the issue, and describe the problem in just a few minutes. Once the report is received, the ODAT technical team analyzes the information, verifies the incident, and forwards it to the competent public administration or entity for processing, maintaining continuous follow-up until resolution.
The president of Famma-Cocemfe Madrid, Javier Font, emphasized that "accessibility is a right, not an option," and highlighted that the tool seeks to empower citizens as active agents in creating more inclusive environments. The digitalization of the process is expected to reduce processing times and increase the effectiveness of complaints.
One of Odat.es's most innovative aspects is its case tracking system. The platform generates a digital file for each complaint, allowing for the monitoring of all actions and providing users with periodic updates on the status of their claims, thus ensuring transparency in the process.
The tool also enables active monitoring of administrative deadlines and the reiteration of requests, maintaining constant communication with responsible bodies. With this launch, Famma-Cocemfe Madrid strengthens its role as a leading entity in promoting universal accessibility in the Community of Madrid.
