The initiative 'Madrid con el Motor', sponsored by the 'Pueblos con Vida' program, includes 'fan zones', exhibitions, and driving simulators. The Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, visited one of these activities in Alcobendas, highlighting the municipalities' involvement in leveraging the event.
In Alcobendas, three driving simulators have been installed: two latest-generation ones and a third developed by the MAD Fórmula team from the Carlos III University of Madrid, available for residents until next Wednesday.
García Martín emphasized that such actions allow municipalities to organize activities of interest for residents and promote the event beyond the circuit. The program extends to seven other municipalities with over a dozen activities.
Villa del Prado will host a drawing contest and a single-seater assembly workshop on Friday, September 11th, along with an exhibition of children's drawings and the chance to obtain an 'Official Pilot Passport'.
Las Rozas will feature a Fan Zone in the Plaza de España from September 11th to 13th, supported by Carlos Sainz Karting. In Arroyomolinos, the Plaza Mayor will host two F1 Cockpit Simulators, one 1/1 scale, and a Formula Nissan.
Paracuellos de Jarama will exhibit Santiago Martín Cantero's Formula 1430 and an F1 simulator at the Espacio Joven. At the Leganés Fairgrounds, festival activities centered on Formula 1 will take place, along with screenings of exclusive competition footage.
To conclude the program, La Cabrera will organize a day on Sunday, September 13th, at the Fonsana parking esplanade, featuring two driving simulators, a photocall, live music, and a giant screen to follow the race live.
These actions complement the event held last Sunday in Valdemorillo's Plaza de Toros, which hosted the XV Concours d'Elegance for classic cars and motorcycles, showcasing 200 vehicles over 30 years old.
