This weekend, Alcorcón is set to host a vibrant cultural and leisure agenda, including family-friendly rock concerts, a fashion event with prizes, and the traditional processions of Santo Domingo and San Dominguín.

The commercial and leisure complex X-Madrid, owned by MERLIN Properties, will host Kids Rock Family concerts on Sundays, April 12 and 19, at 12:30 PM. The group will present a 2.0 version with a renewed repertoire, offering a journey through rock history that connects children and adults. The show, which has become an essential event, will feature classics from legends like Elvis Presley and iconic bands such as Queen, AC/DC, Nirvana, and The Beatles, taking place in the central square.
Additionally, the TresAguas shopping center invites visitors to refresh their style with the “Gira y Estrena Moda” (Spin and Premiere Fashion) event, held from April 10 to 12. To participate, individuals must make a minimum purchase of €25 at fashion stores, present their receipt at the action stand, and spin a panel for prizes. The event will take place in Plaza Movistar, with hours from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Friday, April 10, and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Religious festivities will also play a significant role with the procession of Santo Domingo and San Dominguín. On Saturday, at 11:00 AM, a High Mass will be celebrated at the Santa María la Blanca Church, where the Pan del Santo (Saint's Bread) will be distributed. Afterward, at 12:00 PM, the procession will parade through the streets of Alcorcón, accompanied by the “Manuel de Falla” Municipal Music Band and the Alcorcón Group of Popular Customs and Traditions. The route will include Calle Mayor, Alfredo Nobel, Avenida Retamas, and Juan Ramón Jiménez, concluding at the Santo Domingo de la Calzada Parish.
For food enthusiasts, the restaurant-cafeteria Donde Nina, located at Calle Industrias, 25, offers a notable culinary proposal. Its daily menu is very popular, featuring options like creamy rice with octopus, Asturian fabada, roasted pork knuckle, grilled entrecôtes, and BBQ ribs. Homemade desserts, such as cheesecake and brownie with ice cream, are also a highlight. Furthermore, the establishment serves lunches, breakfasts, and snacks with a wide selection of coffees, juices, toasts, and pastries.
