The police operation, which spanned over a year, has led to the arrest of four individuals. These individuals are identified as the alleged perpetrators of a series of thefts that affected several residents of Tres Cantos, who filed complaints in late March 2025.
The initial complaints detailed the disappearance of items from vehicles parked in communal garages, including high-end car wheels, steering wheels, scooters, and even an entire car. The latter, according to investigators, was used to transport the stolen material.
The group was characterized by its high mobility and the ease with which it allegedly disposed of stolen items on the black market.
The investigation revealed that the alleged criminals used two vehicles to commit the robberies. Once the items were obtained, they were transported to a storage unit in the Vallecas district of Madrid, where they were temporarily hidden before being sold. The turning point of the operation was the arrest of three group members while they were attempting to clandestinely sell some of the stolen wheels. Days later, the fourth alleged member was identified and arrested, completing the dismantling of the gang.
Thanks to this intervention, several high-end vehicle wheels were recovered and returned to their owners, as was the car allegedly stolen for transport. Tools and clothing believed to have been used in the robberies were also seized. The four arrested individuals face charges for ten counts of robbery with force, four counts of damage, one count of vehicle theft, and one count of belonging to a criminal group, underscoring the organized nature of their activities.
The Guardia Civil of Tres Cantos reminds affected residents or anyone who detects suspicious activity in communal garages that they can contact them via email at m-cmd-madridopc@guardiacivil.org or by calling 696 909 741. Citizen complaints were crucial in initiating this investigation.
