The Comunidad de Madrid has completed the necessary procedures to launch the construction of 3,352 homes under the Vive Plan Young Solution, which will be built in the capital and seven other municipalities in the region throughout 2026, aiming to facilitate access to affordable housing for those under 35 years old.
The regional Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, formalized this new phase on Monday by signing the awards with the three concessionary companies: DeA Capital, Avintia, and San José. These companies will be responsible for developing the affordable rental promotions, marking a significant step in the regional government's housing strategy.
Minister Rodrigo emphasized that the young beneficiaries will be able to start their life projects near their families, without having to leave the neighborhoods where they grew up. The distribution of the new homes includes 843 properties in the city of Madrid, specifically in the Valdebebas and Los Ahijones developments. Additionally, 756 will be built in Alcobendas, 365 in Arroyomolinos, 332 in Colmenar Viejo, 308 in Móstoles, 303 in Tres Cantos, 295 in Loeches, and 150 in Valdemoro. Construction is expected to begin throughout 2026.
These homes are part of the Vive Plan, a public-private collaboration project endorsed by the Comunidad de Madrid. To date, more than 5,200 homes have already been delivered in various locations such as Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, Colmenar Viejo, Getafe, Móstoles, Navalcarnero, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Torrejón de Ardoz, Tres Cantos, and the capital, out of a total of 14,000 to be built during the current legislature in over twenty municipalities.
Access to these Vive Plan Young Solution homes is primarily conditioned on applicants being under 35 years old. Furthermore, they must use the property as their habitual residence and cannot own another home in Spain. Preference will be given to those who have been registered or working in the corresponding municipality for at least three years. Regarding economic requirements, the rental cost cannot exceed 35% of the net annual income of the cohabitation unit.
