The play, adapted by Marta Torres and directed by Magüi Mira, will be on stage at the Sala Guirau of this cultural venue, part of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Area, until June 21. The cast includes Daniel Albadalejo, Antonio Hortelano, Patricia Ross, Jorge Mayor, Antonio Sansano, Claudia Taboada, Elena Alférez, and Jaime Riba.
The plot of La Barraca depicts the rejection faced by Batiste Borrull's family when they settle in a shack and lands in the Valencian orchard, following the eviction of the previous tenant. The local farmers prevent their settlement and honest work with violence and cruelty, a story that resonates with current issues.

"La barraca is a timeless story. It speaks to us of the eternal struggle between reason and violence, of a sick community with savage behaviors. It speaks to us of the necessary identity that comes from being rooted in the land where we are born."
