Residents of Torrejón de Ardoz can now subscribe for free to a new WhatsApp channel. This municipal initiative allows them to receive news and alerts of interest directly on their mobile phones, without needing to check the council's website or social media.
Subscription is simple and free. Anyone interested can join via a link provided by the City Council and activate notifications to stay updated on alerts. The channel operates unidirectionally, meaning users cannot reply to messages. Furthermore, both the phone numbers and profile pictures of subscribers remain hidden from other participants, thus ensuring privacy.
This new communication channel is in addition to the Virtual Assistance and the Virtual Citizen Attention Office, tools launched last year. These actions are part of the City Council's strategy to improve information dissemination to residents, adapting to new technologies and facilitating access through mobile devices and computers.
