The Móstoles City Council has implemented a restructuring of its council departments, aiming for greater efficiency and synergies among the various municipal management areas, as announced by Mayor Manuel Bautista.

During a press conference held yesterday, Móstoles Mayor Manuel Bautista (PP) explained the reasons behind the changes in his government's competencies, which he had already hinted at during Holy Week. The main objective is the creation of “synergies” to optimize the functioning of the local administration.
Among the most notable modifications, the Councillor for Education, Cristina Molina, will also take on the portfolio of Culture. This decision is based on the belief that “Culture and Education is a fairly natural synergy” and on the councillor's capacity to manage both areas.

Furthermore, the Festivities area, which previously belonged to Culture, will now be under the responsibility of Raquel Manjavacas, Councillor for Mobility, Transport, and Consumer Affairs. This change seeks to avoid overburdening Molina, ensuring a more balanced distribution of tasks.
Finally, the Department of Economy, Industry, and Employment, led by Deputy Mayor Ángeles García, will integrate the Tourism area. This decision is based on the vision that tourism can be a crucial “economic engine” for the city's development, establishing a direct connection with economic growth objectives.
