The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has defended the region's fiscal model, highlighting Spain's lowest IRPF (Personal Income Tax) and the 35 tax reductions implemented since 2019.

Isabel Díaz Ayuso emphasized that Madrid has the lowest IRPF in Spain and has eliminated all regional taxes, calling them "artificial inventions to keep picking everyone's pocket."
Speaking at the opening of the "Ideas para crecer" (Ideas to Grow) forum hosted by the Business Circle, the head of the regional executive highlighted the 35 tax cuts enacted by her government since 2019, benefiting families, self-employed individuals, and students, and contributing to combating depopulation.
Díaz Ayuso recalled the implementation of Spain's first Taxpayer Defense Law, which treats citizens "not as suspects," but as individuals to whom "we must be grateful for all they contribute." She explained that this law ensures the Administration acknowledges and apologizes for its mistakes, while also creating a fiscal folder for tracking personal information.
