This pioneering agreement will shorten the processing time for applications by an average of three months, leading to a significant reduction in bureaucracy and facilitating the development of new projects in the city. The initiative, signed by the mayor, Miguel Ángel Recuenco, and the dean of COAM, Sigfrido Herráez, aims to optimize administration without compromising technical and legal guarantees.
The agreement introduces a voluntary validation system where COAM will conduct a preliminary technical review of projects, verifying their compliance with requirements. This initial review will allow municipal services to focus on urban and legal analysis, avoiding duplication and significantly reducing response times.
Mayor Recuenco highlighted that this measure will boost the municipality's economic activity and attract more investment. The Official College of Architects, for its part, positively assessed Leganés' leadership in this collaborative model between administrations and professional colleges.
The City Council has emphasized that the agreement will not incur additional economic costs for municipal coffers and allows for future collaborations with other professional colleges. A monitoring committee will be established to periodically evaluate the system's effectiveness and ensure the achievement of efficiency and deadline reduction goals.
