The Youth Delegation in Getafe is promoting the Youth Initiatives Pool (BIJ) 2026, kicking off this May with a historic program of free alternative leisure activities for young people.

The Youth Initiatives Pool (BIJ) 2026, a well-established initiative in the municipality, is relaunching this May with its most extensive program to date. Designed by young people and aimed at the youth population of Getafe, it will offer dozens of free alternative leisure activities.
A total of 11 youth entities and collectives have prepared a diverse program that will run until autumn across different neighborhoods of the city. BIJ 2026 includes 12 proposals for young people aged 12 to 35, depending on the activity. The calendar begins on May 30 with the 'Humor Amarillo' activity, organized by the collective Ohana.
The program will combine regular activities with new initiatives. Established events like 'Hello Summer' and summer excursions by Atlas and Balanza de Cristal are returning. Activities with limited spots will also be offered, including the 'Cluedo' by Cruz Roja Getafe, 'Thexdoor' by YMCA, and urban interventions by Takeas.
Additionally, the program will feature open-to-the-public activities, such as podcasts promoted by Nanai, and events that attract numerous young people, like the DJ contest ‘Yo soy tu fader’ from the Escuela de Deejays de Getafe; the Music Week by the Asociación Música Viva; or the Xatafi Battle by Sintasoul Crew.
The BIJ aims to provide resources to associations and collectives so that young people themselves can design activities tailored to their environment's needs and interests, fostering youth participation and healthy leisure. The program continues to support both established entities and emerging groups. New this year is ‘Mi Casa’, an audiovisual mediation project by the emerging collective La Pandilla.
The 2026 edition will conclude with the Inter-Association Meeting ‘En Acción’, a day dedicated to promoting coexistence and youth participation among the participating collectives.
The full program, dates, and locations will be available on the municipal social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram) and via the Youth department's WhatsApp broadcast list (660 842 099), with weekly updates.
Participating entities include Asociación Migrantia, Cruz Roja Getafe, ArteketoCA Takeas, Asociación Artística Nanai, Colectivo Ohana, Escuela de Deejays de Getafe, Asociación Música Viva, Atlas, Balanza de Cristal, Sintasoul Crew, YMCA, and the emerging group La Pandilla.
