An intercity bus from the Regional Transport Consortium crashed into a tree in Leganés on Monday after losing control, leading to two passengers being taken to the hospital with minor ailments.

The incident occurred around 8 AM on Calle Lugo, near the M-406 highway, in the vicinity of the Vereda neighborhood. The bus driver lost control of the vehicle, which ended up on a traffic island and hit a traffic light before colliding with a tree.
Community of Madrid Firefighters and Summa112 paramedics responded to the scene of the accident to assist the affected passengers.
Medical services attended to five people with minor injuries. Two of them had to be transferred to a hospital for treatment of minor cervical issues resulting from the impact.
