The mayor of Ciempozuelos, Raquel Jimeno, along with the Councilor for Education, Rosa Revuelta, formalized the subsidy today. This initiative, now in its third year, aims to support educational centers and, consequently, the students.
School principals welcomed the agreement, highlighting the flexibility for each center to decide on its investment. Last year, CEIP Ventura Rodríguez used the funds to repair a patio court, CEIP Virgen del Consuelo to change the flooring, and CEIP Eloy Saavedra and CEIP Andrés Segovia to renovate doors and windows.
Jimeno emphasized the importance of school as a vital space and refuge for children, stating that improving their facilities is a way of caring for them.
The signing of the agreement coincided with the mayor and councilor's visit to one of the schools to oversee preparations for the return to school. They confirmed that the work carried out by municipal staff during the summer was ready to welcome students next Monday.
