Officers from the Alcorcón Municipal Police acted swiftly to assist a 20-month-old baby who choked on a piece of apple.

The Alcorcón Municipal Police have once again been the protagonists of a heroic act, saving the life of a 20-month-old baby who choked on a piece of apple on Martín Luther King Street.

The incident occurred last Thursday, April 9, when officers received an urgent call about a minor who was unable to breathe. Upon arrival, they confirmed the extreme seriousness of the situation and proceeded with an immediate transfer to the hospital.
During the journey in the police vehicle, two officers sat in the back with the baby. One performed Heimlich maneuvers adapted for infants, while the other attempted to remove the foreign object from the baby's mouth.

Finally, the piece of apple was successfully extracted, and the baby began to breathe, albeit with difficulty. Upon arrival at the hospital, the minor was stabilized and admitted in critical condition, later being transferred to Gregorio Marañón Hospital.
