The operation concluded with the arrest of seven men and five women, aged between 20 and 58. All those involved have been brought before the courts, facing charges of drug trafficking, electricity fraud, and belonging to a criminal organization, as reported by the Armed Institute.
During the searches, agents confiscated a total of 24,065 grams of marijuana in buds. Additionally, specially adapted rooms were discovered for the storage and production of over 10,000 plants. The cultivation method used was artisanal, covering everything from seed germination and propagation to the development of cuttings in their initial stages.
The investigation began earlier this year following a citizen complaint. The Civil Guard of Navas del Rey received multiple reports of suspicious activities at a residence located in an isolated urbanization in the town. Those responsible for the operation had completely isolated the property and had a filtering system designed to minimize both noise and odors.
The leaders of the organization adopted extreme security measures, constantly monitoring their surroundings for potential surveillance and using rented vehicles that they frequently changed to avoid being tracked. Subsequent investigations led to the location of a second single-family home in Villa del Prado, which had been completely adapted for marijuana processing and was under 24-hour surveillance. At the time of the police intervention, drying plants were being harvested, ready for distribution.
Agents also detected an illegal connection to the Electrical Grid, as well as a sophisticated surveillance system that covered all rooms of the house and its exterior perimeter, demonstrating the complexity of the infrastructure used by the criminal network.
