Next Sunday, April 26, the Navafría Sports City in Moralzarzal will become the epicenter of Madrid's triathlon scene by hosting the Madrid Cross Duathlon Championship, an event that blends sport, nature, and a family atmosphere.

This sporting event, returning to the municipality, is consolidating its position as the “DuCross of the Sierra de Madrid” and will serve as a benchmark for combined sport enthusiasts in Sprint and Super Sprint formats. The race, organized by YouEvent in collaboration with the Moralzarzal City Council, is supported by the Madrid Triathlon Federation.
This year's edition maintains its prestige by hosting the Madrid Cross Duathlon Super Sprint Championship, ensuring the participation of the most prominent athletes from the community. The circuits are designed to utilize the tracks and trails of the Sierra de Guadarrama, offering both high-speed sections and technical mountain areas.
The competition is structured into two main modalities. The Sprint modality, a more extensive challenge, consists of a 6 km run, 16 km of mountain biking (BTT), and a final 3 km run segment. On the other hand, the Super Sprint modality, which is the Madrid Championship, features a more explosive format with a 3 km run, 8 km of BTT, and a 1.75 km run.
The entire day will take place at the Navafría Sports City, making it easy for the public and families to follow the event. Bib collection will begin at 08:30 h, followed by the start of the Sprint distance at 10:00 h. Equipment check for Super Sprint participants will be between 11:30 h and 12:15 h, with the start of the Madrid Championship at 12:30 h. The race control will close at 13:45 h, and the awards ceremony will be at 14:00 h.
Registration is open to both federated and non-federated athletes, ensuring official technical control by the Madrid Federation. At the end of the event, trophies will be awarded to the winners of the various Sprint modality categories, as well as official Madrid Championship medals to the overall winners, by clubs, and by age groups.
