With the arrival of summer, the Soto del Real City Council is launching its summer camp program for 2026. The main objective is to meet the family reconciliation needs and provide educational, healthy, and enriching leisure options for children and young people in the municipality.
This year's proposal combines recreational, educational, and coexistence activities, adapted to different age groups, with the aim of ensuring an active summer in a close and safe environment. The offer includes an urban camp and a volunteer camp, complemented by activities organized by various clubs, associations, and the council itself.
The urban camp, one of the main proposals, is aimed at children born between 2013 and 2022. It will run in weekly periods from June 22 to September 4, allowing families flexibility. The program includes games, workshops, outdoor activities, and educational proposals designed for each age group, fostering values such as camaraderie, creativity, autonomy, and environmental sustainability. The general schedule will be from 9:00 to 14:00 h, with the possibility of extension from 7:30 h and until 16:30 h, including a dining service. Registrations must be made at least 10 days before the start of each period.
Another prominent initiative is the volunteer camp, aimed at young people aged 14 to 17 registered in Soto del Real. This activity, organized in collaboration with the Community of Madrid, will take place from July 5 to 19. Participants will have the opportunity to actively engage in the care of the municipality, with this edition focusing on the conditioning of the botanical garden of Soto del Real. This will allow them to acquire knowledge about the environment, teamwork, and sustainability. The registration period for this activity will be open from April 28 to May 7.
In addition to the municipal program, the summer will feature other camps organized by local clubs and associations, offering sports, cultural, and leisure proposals, thus expanding the options to suit different interests. These camps are consolidated as a fundamental resource for many families, combining reconciliation, education in values, and healthy leisure.
“"With these camps, we offer families a quality summer alternative, betting on a model that combines family reconciliation, education in values, and healthy leisure."
