The municipality of Manzanares El Real has announced the resumption of its philosophy workshops, which will be held on Sundays at the Concha Méndez Municipal Library.

The initiative aims to create a space for open encounter and dialogue, with one workshop scheduled each month. The first session will take place this Sunday, September 13th, under the title 'Philosophers Erased from History'.
This initial workshop will focus on highlighting and analyzing the work of female philosophers who have been historically silenced or excluded from the philosophical canon, such as Hypatia of Alexandria, Simone de Beauvoir, Hannah Arendt, María Zambrano, and Edith Stein.
The workshops are free of charge and are part of Manzanares El Real's commitment as an International Zone of Peace Culture. The goal is to promote activities that encourage a critical, participatory, and respectful perspective on various issues, contributing to a more conscious and dialoguing society.
The inaugural session, titled 'Silenced Thought: Philosophers Erased from History,' will begin at 7:00 PM at the municipal library. This program will lay the groundwork for future monthly workshops addressing topics related to thought, society, coexistence, and Peace Culture.
