The socialist group of San Lorenzo de El Escorial held an event last Saturday, May 9, to commemorate the 95th anniversary of its founding and 50 years since its re-establishment after the dictatorship.

The event, which took place at the Hotel Miranda & Suizo, was attended by the president of the PSOE of Madrid, as well as numerous members and supporters. Among those present was the last socialist mayor of San Lorenzo, who served from 1991 to 1995.

"As general secretary, it is an honor to take up the mantle from so many people who have contributed in one way or another to this party. It is also gratifying to know that the greatest advances in this municipality bear the signature of socialist councilors and mayors. Thanks to all those who have contributed to this, to those who have accompanied us, and to those who will make 2027 the year of change."
