The event will feature a diverse program including conferences, round tables, film screenings, music, and historical reenactments, organized by the Peña San Lorenzo and the Ateneo Escurialense, with the collaboration of the San Lorenzo de El Escorial City Council and support from various institutions.
Saturday, September 26, will begin at 11:00 AM with the inauguration. This will be followed by a lecture titled "The Origin of Hispanidad" by Manuel Lucena Giraldo, and four debate panels on milestones related to the Black Legend, culture, daily life, discoveries, and royal conquests. The day will conclude from 7:30 PM onwards with a session dedicated to the television series "Isabel", moderated by historical communicators Vicente G. Olaya and Javier Santamarta del Pozo.
On Sunday, September 27, activities will take place in various locations within the municipality. At 11:00 AM, the Real Teatro Coliseo Carlos III will host the concert "Hispania Restituta. Concierto para el inicio de un Imperio", performed by guitarist Carlos Wernicke and soprano Cecilia Lavilla Berganza, accompanied by an audiovisual presentation.
At 12:30 PM, several historical reenactment groups will perform a parade culminating in the Plaza de la Constitución with a reenactment of "The Surrender of Granada". This historical reenactment, subsidized by the Community of Madrid, aims to bring this historical episode to the public through a staging designed for the public square.
The eighth edition maintains the two-day structure of previous events, combining historical dissemination, cultural activities, music, and reenactments in different venues across San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
