The activity, starting at 11:00 AM, is designed to connect students with native wildlife and foster environmental awareness. The release of the rehabilitated birds symbolizes an important step in their return to nature.
The day will feature a specialist in monitoring invasive exotic species, who, along with their team, will explain the bird rehabilitation process. Students will learn about rescue, care received at the center, the importance of the local ecosystem, and what to do if they find an injured animal.
“"Promoting these types of experiences is essential to raise awareness among young people about values such as sustainability and commitment to their natural environment."
This event coincides with a significant recognition for the CRAS of Tres Cantos, which will receive the Medal of the Order of Dos de Mayo, the highest distinction from the Community of Madrid for its work in biodiversity protection.
