Torrelodones is preparing for its summer patron saint festivals, divided into two periods: from July 15 to 18 in honor of the Virgen del Carmen and from August 12 to 16 for the Assumption and San Roque.

The municipality of Torrelodones will celebrate its anticipated summer patron saint festivals with a program designed to be inclusive and offer activities for all audiences. The festivities will be divided into two main events: the Colonia Festivals, honoring the Virgen del Carmen, taking place from July 15 to 18, and the Pueblo Festivals, dedicated to the Assumption and San Roque, which will run from August 12 to 16.
The mayor, Almudena Negro, and the Councilor for Festivals, Sagrario Cillero, have presented a program characterized by its diversity, including concerts, tributes, DJ sets, and orchestral performances, as well as sports events. "Our festivals are much more than a calendar of events: they are a reflection of the identity of a town, its values, its tradition, and its history," stated the mayor.
One of the main features of these celebrations will be their inclusive approach. Special hours and music-free periods will be implemented for attractions for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, Children's Day will be celebrated at both events, with attractions at 50% discount on July 14 and 19, and August 11 and 16.
The July Festivals will feature performances such as a tribute to La Oreja de Van Gogh ('La otra oreja'), David Civera, and ToRocklodones. There will also be theater, opening speeches, paella and mus contests, and the popular Urban Mile race. The grand finale will be a fireworks display on Saturday, July 18.
In August, the Pueblo Festivals will offer activities such as the opening speech by Los Porfolios, a tribute to Raphael by Richard Sánchez, and performances by emerging artists and Modestia Aparte. The sports program is complemented by tournaments in Rummy, indoor soccer, mus, and chess, among others.
Safety and awareness are fundamental pillars. The presence of the Guardia Civil and Local Police will be reinforced, supported by private security and drones. The campaigns 'Salte del grupo' against online violence and 'Mi copa no se toca' will continue. Furthermore, a violet point will be available each night to address any incidents.
