Iberdrola will carry out programmed power supply cuts in the city of Madrid and 12 other municipalities in the region between August 24 and 30 for maintenance work.

Iberdrola has announced a series of power supply cuts that will affect the city of Madrid and 12 other municipalities in the region during the week of August 24-30. These interruptions are due to maintenance and improvement work on the various components of the electrical grid, including lines, transformation centers, and substations.
According to i-DE, the distribution company of the Iberdrola Group, these planned works are "essential to improve service quality and ensure the safety of the facilities." Residents in the affected areas will be informed at least 24 hours in advance through posters in the affected buildings, indicating the estimated start and end times of the outage.
In the city of Madrid, several streets will be affected by these interruptions. Additionally, the outages will extend to municipalities such as Alcalá de Henares, Becerril de la Sierra, Boadilla del Monte, Colmenar Viejo, Daganzo de Arriba, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Leganés, Las Rozas de Madrid, Majadahonda, Manzanares el Real, Miraflores de la Sierra, Parla, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Valdemoro, and Zarzalejo.
The company warns that if the work is completed before the scheduled time, the supply will be restored immediately and without prior notice. Therefore, Iberdrola recommends avoiding maintenance work on electrical installations during the outage period to prevent potential serious accidents.
For residents who rely on medical devices requiring an electrical supply, a contact channel has been established. Contract holders should contact i-DE by phone at 900 171 171 or via email at contacto@i-de.es. This will ensure that in the event of a breakdown or scheduled outage, they will be notified and informed by phone as soon as possible.
