These awards represent one-third of the total 36 distinctions granted nationwide. The awards ceremony took place at the Gregorio Marañón Mother and Child Complex, where the Deputy Minister of Health, Laura Gutiérrez, closed the event organized by Gaceta Médica.
Among the distinguished health centers, Gregorio Marañón Hospital received four awards, including an Honorable Mention. The Jiménez Díaz Foundation received three awards, while the Infanta Elena Hospital of Valdemoro was recognized with two, one of which also included an Honorable Mention. Other awarded hospitals include those in Fuenlabrada, Henares (Coslada), La Paz, La Princesa (Madrid), and Villalba.
“"The fact that so many centers of our public health system are recognized as the best in the country is no coincidence. It is a reflection of a system that operates efficiently thanks to the continuous commitment of dedicated professionals."
The Deputy Minister congratulated all hospital services that have achieved these important recognitions, emphasizing the quality of the Madrid healthcare system.
These awards add to other recent achievements by public hospitals in the Community of Madrid, such as their inclusion in Newsweek magazine's list of the world's top 250 hospitals, where seven of them are featured. Additionally, Forbes has highlighted six Madrid hospitals among the ten best in the country.
