José Mª Babot Vizcaíno, a former councilor and resident of Majadahonda for 19 years, has resumed his writing to express gratitude to the mayor for the installation of safety barriers on the city's street corners. Babot considers these metal fences, which prevent vehicles from encroaching on sidewalks, an "enormous safety gesture" that contributes to "building the city."
In his article, published in Majadahonda Magazin, Babot extends his "most cordial congratulations" to the mayor, while also using the opportunity to criticize other aspects of municipal management. He references a previous piece titled "And the donkey returns to the wheat…", where he voiced complaints about the state of street hedges and the condition of the Spanish flag. The former councilor believes the municipality's management is "falling behind" and criticizes the mayor's apparent inability to effectively manage the city, suggesting external influences on the decisions of the Popular Party.
Babot also directs criticism towards the mayor's "acolytes," accusing them of "saying amen" and receiving "generous salaries" without addressing issues like the hedges or the flag. He laments the lack of municipal training and the absence of discussion on local problems in council meetings. Finally, he reiterates the need to install railings on certain staircases in Colón Park, particularly for the elderly.
