The Colmenar Viejo City Council has initiated procedures for the construction of an ambitious sports complex in the Las Adelfillas neighborhood, with an initial investment close to 26 million euros.

The Governing Board of the Colmenar Viejo City Council has approved submitting the feasibility study, preliminary project, and cost structure proposal for this new complex to public information. With an initial investment of 25,891,876 euros, it stands as the municipality's most significant sports endeavor to date.
This project aims not only to expand existing facilities but also to transform the concept of public sports in the locality, making it more accessible and adapted to the needs of all residents, from children to seniors.
The complex will consist of five specialized pavilions. The main one will house a versatile heated swimming pool, a teaching pool for swimming lessons, a fitness room, collective activity rooms, changing rooms, an administrative area, and a restaurant space. A second pavilion will be dedicated to indoor sports, complemented by an outdoor calisthenics area and pickleball courts.
The other three pavilions will focus on specific disciplines: one for rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, another for skating, and a fifth with two rooms dedicated to contact sports (judo, karate, taekwondo) and sport shooting with an indoor gallery. Additionally, a parking area will be included to facilitate access.

"We have been working for a long time on the development of a new sports center, which will be the most ambitious project promoted by this municipality in terms of sports. It is not just a new facility, but a qualitative leap in the way we understand sports: more accessible, more modern, and designed for all residents."

the Sports Councilor
The Sports Councilor highlighted the public service vocation of the complex, emphasizing that physical activity is essential for health and that this infrastructure will allow responding to the growing demand for activities and promoting healthy habits in the community.
Currently, the file is in the public information phase, allowing residents to consult the available documentation at the Colmenar Viejo City Council Bulletin Board or directly at the Sports Department. The total investment covers both construction and the necessary equipment and furniture for its operation.
