The Móstoles City Council today celebrated the day of the Holy Guardian Angels, patrons of the National Police, with a tribute ceremony where police merit decorations and diplomas were awarded.

The event, presided over by Mayor Manuel Bautista, recognized the work of 11 members stationed at the local police station with police merit decorations. Additionally, five retired officers and staff members were honored with diplomas.
The collaboration of professionals from the City Council's Social Services, Municipal Police, and National Police in the Childhood and Adolescence Plan was also highlighted. Citizens and institutions that support the National Police in their daily work were recognized, including Luis Segura Caravaca, honorary president of Civil Protection Móstoles; the Brotherhood Nuestra Señora del Rocío of Móstoles; and IES Rayuela.
Mayor Manuel Bautista emphasized the fundamental role of the National Police, alongside the Municipal Police and Civil Guard, in ensuring safety in Móstoles, calling it one of the safest large cities in the Community of Madrid. "The Holy Guardian Angels symbolize the mission to protect, accompany, and watch over others. A mission that you make a reality every day on our streets. And I want you to know that you have the recognition, affection, and support of the Móstoles City Council and all its citizens," stated the mayor.
The event concluded with an emotional tribute to colleagues who died in the line of duty and the singing of the National Police anthem. Also attending were the first deputy mayor and councilor for Security, Emergencies, and Environment, Gabriel Monteserín; the chief commissioner of the Local National Police Station, Francisco González Pescador; the chief commissioner of the Municipal Police, Juan Manuel Arribas; the president of the Court of Instance of Móstoles, Susana González De la Varga; the liaison prosecutor for Environment and Hate Crimes, Raquel Navarro Ramírez, as well as members of the Municipal Corporation and representatives from the social and associative fabric of the municipality.
