The Community of Madrid will open the new headquarters of the Central Office for Citizen Attention (OCAC) on Carretas Street at the beginning of next January, once the space adaptation works are completed.

The new office, moving from its current location on Carrera de San Jerónimo, aims to respond to the growth in the service's activity. The renovation covers 828 square meters, with 500 dedicated exclusively to the OCAC, nearly double its current size. It will feature 13 direct service desks and a staff of 31 professionals.
The space will include a waiting area, a multifunctional room, a queue management system, an assisted self-service desk, and technological support tools. It will also have information screens, both internal and external.
A specific preferential attention desk for the elderly and disabled has been designed, ensuring accessible facilities. The mezzanine floor will house the Registry of Civil Unions across 218 square meters, with 10 workstations in open areas, an office, and a room for ceremonies. The center will also be cardioprotected and cerebroprotected, equipped with a defibrillator and staff trained in CPR and emergency response for conditions like stroke.
Operating hours will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It will offer in-person and video call assistance for information, submitting applications, registering documents, and validating electronic certificates, facilitating procedures related to the Virtual Health Card, Youth Card, and the Mediation, Arbitration, and Conciliation Service (SMAC).
Additionally, the autonomous 012 Citizen Service will launch an Instagram profile to disseminate relevant information, services, and news from the Community of Madrid. This channel complements existing platforms like X, WhatsApp, phone, and email, aiming to bring the administration closer to new user demographics and ensure more accessible and direct communication.
