Rayo Vallecano faces Crystal Palace in the Conference League final in Leipzig, hoping to lift their first European title, with the Vallecas neighborhood preparing for a historic night.

Rayo Vallecano is hours away from playing the Conference League final against Crystal Palace at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig. The Madrid-based team aims to win its first continental trophy, a milestone that would cap their European dream against an English opponent arriving with more uncertainties.
Both Rayo Vallecano and Crystal Palace are seeking their first title in this competition. The Franjirrojo club wishes to put the name of the Vallecas neighborhood on the European football map, supported by over 11,000 fans who have traveled to the German city.
While thousands of fans accompany the team in Germany, the Vallecas neighborhood is preparing to experience this historic event. The Community of Madrid has facilitated the celebration for those who could not travel, installing four giant screens at the Vallecas stadium, which has a capacity of over 14,700 spectators.
The screens, which have sparked memes on social media due to their size, and the five-euro entrance fee for the stadium have been points of discussion among supporters. Nevertheless, a massive turnout is anticipated, as evidenced by the long queues during ticket sales.
To ensure the day proceeds smoothly, the Madrid City Council has designed a comprehensive security operation. The deputy mayor, Inma Sanz, announced that the operation will involve over a hundred officers from the Municipal Police and national forces, distributed along a corridor connecting the stadium to the Plaza de la Asamblea, a key point for potential celebrations.

"The important thing is that we have to use this device in the sense that this corridor will be full of fans going to the Plaza de la Asamblea to celebrate."

Sanz urged for the potential celebration to be conducted without incidents and with a purely festive atmosphere. The City Council is coordinating with Metro and the Regional Transport Consortium to adapt public transport measures if necessary.
On the sporting front, the deputy mayor expressed full confidence in Iñigo Pérez's team, stating that Rayo "deserves to win this final" and "definitively establish itself as one of those great teams in Europe." She predicted a "3-1 victory for Rayo."
