The International Choreographic Showcase BETA PUBLICA celebrates its 13th edition at the Paco Rabal Cultural Center in Madrid, featuring a selection of over 150 contemporary dance proposals. The call for entries gathered creations from 41 countries, 84 cities, and four continents.
The program includes creators from Poland, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Barcelona, and Madrid. One of the chosen pieces was selected through public vote via BETA PUBLICA's social media. The final selection, once again, presented a significant challenge for the jury, who aimed to build a diverse, balanced, and coherent program.
“"Each edition presents the challenge of building a program where each proposal offers a different perspective while forming part of a single experience for the audience. Returning to the Theater of the Paco Rabal Cultural Center, where this project was born thirteen years ago, also holds a very special meaning for us."
Among the featured pieces are "MOTHER GONE" by Ashley Davis (Netherlands), "MIRROR BIRD" by Chiara Olivieri (Italy), "¿WHY?" by Alessio Natale (Madrid), " Salvador Delulu” by Eliza Kindziuk-Kosianko (Poland), "Sauze” by Gabriel Camprubi & Jennifer Jaime (Barcelona), "Jardin sous l’eau” by Enora Gemin (Germany), and "El lenguaje de las paredes” by Roberto Lua and Emma Cámara (Madrid).
The event is supported by the Paco Rabal Cultural Center and sponsored by the Consejería de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte of the Community of Madrid. Tickets are priced at €8, with a reduced rate of €6 for those over 65, youth card holders, the unemployed, and large families.
