Throughout September, the 'Pablo Ruiz Picasso' Cultural Center in Colmenar Viejo will host two new exhibitions. The Culture Department presents these shows aimed at offering a diverse view of contemporary art.
The first exhibition, titled 'Puridad expresiva', is by José Antonio Fontal Álvarez, known artistically as 'creatiz'. This artist from Oviedo conceives his work as a pictorial interpretation of reality, transforming the everyday into images with its own identity through a style that fuses the pictorial and the photographic. The exhibition features approximately 30 plastic photographs of various sizes and can be visited in the Sala Picasso from September 3rd to 29th.
The second offering is 'Línea y color', focusing on portraiture and the human figure from a figurative perspective. Artist Francisco Fernández Ayuso, a resident of Boadilla del Monte and a self-taught painter recognized with several awards, works through line simplification, prioritizing color as the main expressive element. The exhibition includes 30 works, mostly oil and acrylic canvases, along with watercolors and graphite portraits. It will be on display in the center's Foyer also from September 3rd to 29th.
The 'Pablo Ruiz Picasso' Cultural Center, located at C/ de la Iglesia, 12, offers extended hours for visiting both exhibitions. It is open from Mondays to Fridays between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays.
