Agents of the Civil Guard's Traffic Group have arrested eleven people for their alleged involvement in illegal races and the organization of massive vehicle meetups in the Community of Madrid.

The gatherings, which sometimes brought together over 500 attendees, were primarily organized through social media and mobile chats, announcing the location, date, and time for weekends. These events were held mainly in the southern area of the Community of Madrid, including municipalities such as Fuenlabrada, Pinto, Valdemoro, Coslada, and Madrid capital, although participants also traveled to other provinces like Cuenca, Navarra, or Toledo.
According to the Civil Guard, organizers took measures to avoid identification, such as using balaclavas and tampering with license plates. They even had a protocol to evade arrest by agents. These practices posed a significant risk to other drivers, in addition to potential offenses against road safety and document forgery.

The Civil Guard detected these illegal races last summer. Since then, they have conducted an investigation that has culminated, for now, in the arrest of eleven people.

The operation has led to the arrest of eleven men between 18 and 25 years old, of various nationalities and with prior police records. They are accused of alleged offenses including reckless driving, document forgery, simulation of crimes, serious disobedience to authority figures, and membership in a criminal organization. Four vehicles and various materials used in the gatherings have been seized.
