In the framework of three separate operations, authorities have freed a total of eleven women who were victims of sexual exploitation. The detainees, accused of human trafficking, money laundering, and criminal organization offenses, deceived women in their home countries, causing them to incur debts that they had to repay by engaging in prostitution under precarious conditions. Two of the arrested individuals have been remanded in provisional custody.
The investigation began in October 2025 following a report from one of the victims, who stated she had been brought to Spain to work as a prostitute under degrading treatment and sexual exploitation. Inquiries revealed the existence of a criminal organization originating abroad that recruited the women there, using trusted individuals to facilitate their transfer to Spain. Once in the country, they were forced into prostitution in homes monitored by cameras and subjected to coercion and threats.
In one of the interventions, a 15-year-old minor was rescued; she was attending up to 100 clients daily. The victims were forced to consume narcotic substances and engage in prostitution without protection, leading to sexually transmitted infections. The operations concluded in April with searches of two residences in Madrid, resulting in the arrest of two individuals and the liberation of four victims. A third arrest was made in Alicante.
In a separate operation, a victim reported her situation at a brothel in Madrid, having been encouraged to share nude photos online in exchange for a sex worker job offer. This woman worked twelve hours a day across three residences, resting at night to avoid alerting neighbors. If a victim intended to leave the business, they were coerced and threatened with the exposure of their identity. Clients accessed the residences using a code and had unlimited-time offer packages. Three women were freed during searches of these residences.
