This measure, which will last for almost three years, is essential for the construction of the new interchange and the extension of Metro Line 11. During this period, traffic will be redirected to the surface road in the outbound direction from Madrid.
Two entry lanes will be enabled from the A-3 towards Conde de Casal square, and one exit lane from Conde de Casal towards the A-3 Valencia and M-30 North. Additionally, the number of inbound lanes to Madrid from the A-3 will be reduced from two to one, although the exit ramp from the M-30 to Conde de Casal will remain open.
“"The City Council has recommended the use of public transport as a consequence of these mobility impacts in an area affected by the expansion works of Metro Line 11 of Madrid."
The new Conde de Casal interchange, with an investment of 40 million euros, is set to become a key infrastructure for mobility in the capital. Its objective is to facilitate the connection between Metro Line 6 and the future extension of Line 11, currently under construction. It is estimated that more than 65,000 daily passengers will use this infrastructure, which will consolidate urban and interurban bus stops into a single space.
