The Civil Guard arrested two men on Wednesday night in Anchuelo for their alleged involvement in an attempted theft of copper cables from the AVE train tracks.

The incident occurred around midnight on Wednesday when agents from the Civil Guard in Villalbilla noticed suspicious lights near the M-213 road, close to the Spanish High-Speed (AVE) train tracks.
Upon inspecting the area, officers located a parked vehicle and intercepted two men who had already damaged the perimeter fence and were tampering with the copper cable of the installations.
During the search of the car, agents found tools such as shears, a crowbar, and cutters, as well as work gloves. For these reasons, the detainees were arrested as alleged perpetrators of attempted cable theft.
