The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, confirmed the continuation of these regional subsidies. One of the calls is aimed at young people between 18 and 40 years old, while the other focuses on the age segment between 40 and 60 years old. The main objective is to ensure the continuity and profitability of the profession, facilitating the entry of new generations into the agricultural sector.
The aid line for younger individuals is endowed with 2.5 million euros. Each beneficiary can receive a basic premium of up to 30,000 euros, which can be increased with additional complements of 10,000 euros. These complements are granted for including herbivore or granivore livestock, practicing organic farming, generating at least one full-time job, or locating the farm within the Natura 2000 Network for environmental protection.
This subsidy aims for young people to establish themselves for the first time on a farm, either exclusive or shared, or to become partners in a territorial associative entity. Applicants must demonstrate the fulfillment of their business plan within a maximum of 18 months. The deadline for submitting applications is May 7 and can be done electronically through the institutional website.
The renewal of these aids is crucial to guarantee the future of our primary sector, attracting new generations and supporting those who already have experience to continue contributing to the rural development of the Community of Madrid.
The second aid line, aimed at older individuals (between 40 and 60 years old), amounts to 500,000 euros. This amount doubles the initial budget for 2025, which was 250,000 euros, and had already been raised to 304,000 euros due to the high number of applications received. Registrations for this call will be open until May 4 and will also be managed electronically.
All individuals who are in the process of registering for an agricultural activity in the region, who have professional qualifications or at least part of the necessary training, may apply for both benefits. The signing of a commitment to incorporation will be required. Entrepreneurs who meet the required conditions may receive premiums of up to 40,000 euros per person, with a basic amount of 20,000 euros and an additional 20,000 euros if they join a livestock farm, excluding beekeeping, heliciculture (snails), or insect farms.
Both aid lines are co-financed: 50.5% comes from the regional Executive, 23% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), and the remaining 17.5% from the General State Administration.
