The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has stated that the current Popular Party has no connection to the Kitchen case, whose trial began this Monday, and has accused the PSOE of attempting to equate this situation with other investigations.

From the new health center in Parla, the Madrid leader emphasized that today's PP is different from that of thirteen years ago, when the events of the Kitchen case occurred. This judicial process seeks to clarify an alleged operation to extract information from the former PP treasurer, Luis Bárcenas.

"I believe these cases, one and the other, are incomparable."

Ayuso insisted that the current leadership of the Popular Party has no link to that period, thus seeking to distance the party from a case that once again places it in the judicial and political spotlight. She rejected any comparison with the investigation into the purchase of masks that begins tomorrow in the Supreme Court.
In contrast, the Madrid president pointed out that the case beginning tomorrow in the Supreme Court affects the "corruption of the current Government" and its surroundings. In this context, she specifically mentioned figures such as Santos Cerdán, Koldo García, the CNIO, Plus Ultra, and several ministers.
Finally, Ayuso defended that both scenarios are "totally different" and assured that her party will not question the actions of the judges, trusting that the courts will resolve the facts investigated in each case.
