The National Police has arrested a man in Seseña, Toledo, accused of stabbing his ex-partner in Madrid last February, who resisted arrest and assaulted an officer during his apprehension on March 20.

The incident occurred in Madrid on February 14 of the previous year, when the assailant went to the victim's workplace, violating a restraining order. After an argument, the man attacked the woman with a screwdriver, repeatedly injuring her in the neck.

If you are not for me, you are not for anyone.

The woman's cries for help alerted neighbors, who intervened to prevent the aggressor's escape. The swift action of emergency services and officers from the Citizen Attention Group allowed the victim, who was in serious condition, to be stabilized.
After the attack, the individual hid in Seseña, Toledo, where he took various measures to avoid being located, such as not using a mobile phone or not renewing his documentation. Investigations by the National Police culminated in his location and arrest on March 20 as he left his home, where he was living with a new partner.
During the arrest, the man resisted and assaulted one of the officers, causing chest injuries. The detainee has been brought before the court for alleged crimes of attempted homicide, domestic abuse, violation of a restraining order, and assault on an authority figure. The judicial authority has ordered his immediate imprisonment.
