Alcalá de Henares's Plaza de Palacio is set to host the first Gluten-Free Bakeries Fair on May 9th, an event aiming to highlight the sector and offer options for the whole family.

This gathering, poised to be a significant local event, will bring together various bakeries specializing in gluten-free products. The primary goal is to introduce these offerings to the general public and showcase the quality and diversity of current gluten-free pastries and bread.
The fair, which will take place in Plaza de Palacio, next to the Archbishop's Palace, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, has planned a comprehensive program. It includes a children's area with collaborative games, participatory dynamics, creative workshops such as stop motion with Playmobil and mug decorating, as well as giant constructions and playdough. There will also be karaoke open to all attendees.
Among the confirmed bakeries participating in the event are Arca do Millo, Baking Free, Casa Brioche, El Capricho de Celia, Exento Sin Gluten, La Celiacoteca, Quqqis, Sana Locura, and 3R. All of them will present their products, demonstrating innovation and flavor in the gluten-free field.
In addition to tastings, the fair will offer a program of professional and informative activities. There will be a round table titled 'The Art of Gluten-Free Pastry', a guided tasting of artisan breads, the presentation of the SINGLU app, and a talk on 'Food and Family: Managing Gluten at Home', with the participation of experts. Another round table will address 'Entrepreneurship without Gluten, Everyday Stories'.
The event is supported by collaborators such as Foody, Yucax.com, and La Vecina Celíaca, reinforcing its comprehensive nature and commitment to the celiac community and the public interested in gluten-free options. The fair's celebration is subject to weather conditions.
