The Colmenar Viejo City Council, through La Casa de la Juventud, has organized a special and free event to celebrate Children's Day on April 11 at El Mirador Park, offering a morning full of games and workshops for the little ones.

The initiative, scheduled from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, aims to provide an accessible family leisure space for all residents of the municipality. Admission is free and no prior registration is required, making it easy for any family to participate and enjoy the diverse offerings.
The day is designed to encourage active participation from children through a point system. Kids can accumulate points by completing different challenges in the play zones, which can then be exchanged for prizes. This dynamic adds an element of adventure and motivation to each activity.
The program includes an extensive range of entertainment, from craft workshops where participants can learn origami and create keychains or bookmarks, to classic fair games like giant bowling, duck fishing, and target shooting. There will also be participatory games such as obstacle races and adapted sumo wrestling, as well as giant games like Twister, tic-tac-toe, and hopscotch. The fun will be completed with tombolas, inflatable castles, storytelling, and a craft fair organized by ASARCO.

"This event aims to offer the little ones a leisure space where they can participate, play, and enjoy activities specially designed for them, while we continue to promote proposals that foster participation and inclusion."

Enrique Navarro Hermosilla · Councillor for Family, Youth, and Childhood of Colmenar Viejo
Navarro Hermosilla also highlighted the fundamental role of La Casa de la Juventud in creating these activities, reaffirming the council's commitment to childhood and the generation of recreational and participatory spaces within the municipal program.
