The city of Alcobendas has launched 78 new charging points for electric vehicles, distributed across 26 stations operating 24 hours a day, aiming to promote sustainable mobility among its residents and businesses.

This initiative is part of a municipal strategy to facilitate access to electric mobility, covering all four districts of the city. The network is designed to be accessible and functional for all users, regardless of the electric mobility platform they use.
The stations have been strategically located in key areas of Alcobendas, including main arteries such as Paseo de la Chopera and Avenida de España, as well as business zones like Avenida de Europa, ensuring equitable coverage throughout the municipality.
Each station offers three charging points: two provide ultra-fast charging at 100 kW, and an additional one at 22 kW. In total, 52 of the new points allow for rapid charging, capable of restoring approximately 100 kilometers of range in just about 10 minutes. It is important to note that all energy used comes from renewable sources, contributing to the reduction of emissions.
The project is the result of a public-private collaboration between the Alcobendas City Council and Iberdrola | bp pulse, following a public tender. This partnership seeks to meet the demand of both citizens and commuters who travel daily to the municipality, solidifying Alcobendas' role as a benchmark in sustainable mobility infrastructure.
