The festival will kick off on Thursday, April 23, at the Teatro del Bosque, at 8:00 PM, with a performance by the National Dance Company. The inaugural show will be dedicated to Marius Petipa, a key figure in the development of classical ballet.
On the same day, at 12:30 PM, a renowned dancer will present Puente de Plata at the Familia e Igualdad building, a piece combining contemporary dance, flamenco, and folklore.
On Friday, April 24, starting at 6:00 PM, the Plaza de los Pájaros will host free outdoor performances, including the pieces Asceta, El elogio de la fisura, and Flowerheads. Later, at 8:00 PM, the Teatro del Bosque will feature Intangible o la mujer que quiso ser hombre.
On Saturday, April 25, at 8:00 PM, the Teatro del Bosque will host Viaje al amor brujo, performed by the Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid alongside JORCAM, a proposal exploring the relationship between tradition and modernity. On Sunday, April 26, at 6:00 PM, the Teatro El Soto will be the setting for Boléro, by the French company Cie DK59, a choreographic reinterpretation of the musical work.
The festival will continue the following week. On Tuesday, April 28, from 6:00 PM, the Centro de Arte 2 de Mayo will offer the pieces Selva and Vende humo, with free admission. On the same day, at 8:00 PM, the Teatro del Bosque will host Spira and Juan Caballo.
The festival will conclude on Wednesday, April 29, at 8:00 PM, at the Teatro del Bosque with the Awards Gala of the National Choreography Contest of Spanish Dance and Flamenco, coinciding with International Dance Day.
In parallel, the program includes complementary activities such as a workshop for people over 65 focused on Danza del Fuego, by Manuel de Falla, taught by a renowned dancer. A Community Pasodoble will also be held on April 26 in the Plaza del Pradillo with the participation of the Banda La Estrella de Móstoles.
The festival is completed with the exhibition Monstruos del Flamenco, by a recognized artist, which can be visited from April 23 to 29 at the Teatro del Bosque, and the presentation of the book Un tiro te peguen, by a local author, on the 29th.
