The Plenary Session of the Móstoles City Council has approved the Fiscal Ordinances for 2027, highlighted by a new reduction in the Property Tax (IBI) to 0.48%.

The Móstoles City Council has given the green light to the Fiscal Ordinances for the 2027 fiscal year during an extraordinary plenary session. The main announced measure is a new reduction in the Property Tax (IBI) rate, which will decrease from 0.56% to 0.48%.
These ordinances, set to take effect on January 1st, aim to continue the municipality's low taxation policy. The objective is to alleviate the financial burden on local families and businesses, as well as to foster economic activity and attract investment to the city.
The successive IBI reductions implemented in recent years will allow Móstoles residents to save between 48 and 96 euros per bill, depending on the property's value. Combined with other fiscal bonuses approved during the term, these measures have resulted in an accumulated saving of over 13 million euros for residents.
In addition to the IBI reduction, the ordinances maintain the decrease in the Tax on Constructions, Installations, and Works (ICIO), setting its rate at 3.7%, reportedly the lowest among the major cities in the Community of Madrid. The 50% bonus for the construction of social housing is also preserved, an initiative to encourage the development of new residential projects.
These actions are part of the municipal fiscal strategy to enhance Móstoles' competitiveness, stimulate local economic activity, and create favorable conditions for new investments.
The draft of the 2027 fiscal ordinances received a favorable opinion yesterday from the Social Council of the City of Móstoles, with 10 votes in favor, one abstention, and 2 against.
