More than 7,000 people visited the Leganés Job Fair, 'LEGAEMPLE@', held on October 27th and 28th, where 50 companies and entities offered nearly 10,000 job positions.

For the first time in the fair's history, the Army (Land, Air, and Space), Navy, National Police, Leganés Local Police, and Civil Protection participated, providing information on their professional opportunities and access requirements. The fair aims to promote access to the labor market, primarily for young people, women, and individuals over 45, consolidating itself as a useful tool for creating real job opportunities.
The Mayor of Leganés, Miguel Ángel Recuenco, expressed satisfaction with the high turnout and business participation, emphasizing that 'LEGAEMPLE@' is becoming a valuable tool for discovering available public employment offers. In total, nearly 10,000 job openings were presented.
This initiative, revived by the current government in November 2024 after a ten-year hiatus, has doubled the number of participating companies and significantly increased attendance compared to the previous event. The presence of security and emergency services allowed attendees to explore alternative career paths and employment options within the Administration.
The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, José Marín, highlighted that each job offer represents a potential life-changing opportunity, reaffirming the commitment to continue connecting companies and candidates in Leganés.
The practical and dynamic format of 'LEGAEMPLE@' included direct interviews, workshops, and informational sessions aimed at enhancing employability and providing useful tools for selection processes, along with information on services from the Community of Madrid's Employment Offices Network.
