The Community of Madrid is coordinating upcoming actions and aid aimed at the economic reactivation of the Sierra Oeste, an area affected by a major fire.

The Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, met with the mayors of the affected municipalities to detail the measures. These actions aim to boost the area's tourism activity.
Among the initiatives is an information campaign with the slogan Vuelve a Vivirla (Come Back to Live It). Actions will also be taken to restore affected forests and promote the recovery of the natural environment, as part of the Forest Restoration Plan for the next ten years.
Soon, affected farmers and ranchers will be able to apply for aid of 1,500 euros per damaged hectare to rehabilitate homes affected by the fire.
