Red TERRAE, of which Lozoyuela-Navas-Sieteiglesias is a part, aims to promote sustainable rural development, agroecology, and local economies. Hosting their annual assembly offers an opportunity to highlight the work being done in the area and share experiences and proposals for the challenges of rural environments.
On the occasion of this meeting, an open day for residents will be held on November 13. Memory, livestock farming, and the future of the mountains will be the main focus.
At 6:30 PM, multiple initiatives from municipalities across Spain will be presented in the Poster Space. Subsequently, at 7:30 PM, a round table discussion titled "Shepherds, Memory, and the Mountains: Livestock Farming as the Guardian of the Landscape" will take place, featuring historians, environmental professionals, livestock farmers, and representatives of territory-linked initiatives.
The goal is to recognize the role of extensive livestock farming in conserving the landscape, biodiversity, and identity of the villages, as well as to reflect on future opportunities for the mountains.
The event will take place in the Plenary Hall of the Lozoyuela Town Hall.
