The coordinated action of both police forces has managed to neutralize the spread of false information on the internet that aimed to generate unjustified fear among residents. The Councilor for Security, Jorge Rodríguez, thanked the officers for their professionalism, emphasizing that "the main objective of this operation has been to guarantee normality in the streets."
To ensure the smooth running of the event, nearly twenty units, both uniformed and plainclothes, were mobilized to patrol the city. Preventive actions included identity checks in high-traffic areas, with particular attention to costumed groups to prevent unauthorized gatherings.
This surveillance deployment remained fully operational despite the postponement of municipal activities, a decision made in mourning for the tragic train accident that occurred in Urda (Toledo).
From the police headquarters and the City Council, there is an insistence on the need for responsible social media use. Agents have monitored and investigated various hoaxes circulating with the sole intention of causing unjustified fear. The City Council requests citizen collaboration, especially from families and adolescents, to exercise extreme caution with digital platforms, avoid spreading unverified alerts, and rely exclusively on official information channels.
