The Socialist municipal group in the Valdemoro City Council has issued a statement denouncing the lack of transparency in the local government's management, as well as the administration's poor response capacity to issues like the cyberattack that affected the council's computer systems over a month and a half ago.
Vicente López Roncero, spokesperson for the socialist party, stated that "seven weeks later, we still lack access to the information and electronic tools necessary for our oversight and scrutiny of the Governing team." He emphasized that "it's a case of the same old problems in an increasingly obscure and opaque administration."
López Roncero highlighted that "for years, we have been unable to consult minor contracts awarded and information regarding the Mayor's petty cash fund has not been published, with the last update dating back to 2019."
The socialist spokesperson maintains that "Valdemoro deserves a modern, transparent, and efficient administration; one capable of interacting with citizens and businesses through functional electronic means that ensure access to public information and accountability."
Furthermore, the PSOE openly criticizes the systematic scheduling of municipal plenary sessions in the morning, which hinders attendance for many residents. They accuse David Conde's government of deflecting attention to issues unrelated to Valdemoro's real problems. "Like skilled prestidigitators, they divert attention to the accessory to avoid discussing what is truly important: the lack of responses, the absence of transparency, and an incapable management that has failed to restore normality to the City Council nearly fifty days after the cyberattack," they insist.
