The Alcorcón City Council has filed a complaint with the Community of Madrid regarding earthmoving and other actions carried out on private properties near Ventorro del Cano, which go beyond the cleaning orders previously issued by the council.

Municipal services detected significant waste accumulations on several private plots earlier this year. Consequently, execution orders were issued requiring property owners to remove the waste, including the potential management of hazardous asbestos-containing materials by authorized companies.
However, the activities undertaken on these plots have exceeded the scope of simple waste removal. The Councilor for Ecological Transition, Mobility, Education, and Environment, Trinidad Castillo, stated that the council ordered the removal of illegal waste and its proper management, but not the clearing of broom, alteration of vegetation cover, or transformation of the land.
In light of this situation, the Alcorcón City Council has requested an urgent investigation from the Community of Madrid to determine the true extent of these maneuvers and assess their potential environmental impact. The responsibility for determining the environmental legality of these actions now lies with the regional government.
The council has pledged full cooperation with the Forest Agents and the Community of Madrid, providing all necessary technical, urban planning, and administrative documentation to clarify the events. Furthermore, it has reiterated its commitment to supporting any initiative aimed at ensuring the environmental protection of the area, proper waste management, and the conservation of the municipality's natural values.
